The Hole-in-the-Wall Bar is the place where Thermopolis history meets the legendary Wild West. Tom Skinner's Hole-in-the-Wall Saloon, one of Thermopolis' most beloved landmarks, was demolished in the 1970's. In 1979 the cherry wood bar that Skinner had imported from Ireland was purchased by the Pioneer Association and moved to the Hot Springs County Museum, which became known as the home of the Hole-in-the-Wall Bar.
